Process

Originally a commission for the Ultramag cover, this collage is titled after the historic mass emergence of the cicada, named Brood X. This is a heavenly habitat I imagined for the short-lived late summer mystery nuggets when they meet their fates as a hearty snack for a snapping turtle or robin.
